18 year-old Darian Weiss began acting at the tender age of six months when his charm
and bright blue eyes earned him the role of the Carnation Baby. A
prodigy of many talents, Darian won his World Competition Ice Skating
trophy in Seattle at age three and repeated in Boston one year later.
His first on-camera appearance CBS-TV's "Snowden On Ice"
paired him with Olympics gold medalist Scott Hamilton. Darian has
since skated with Olympics legends Tara Lipinski ("Stars on Ice"
at Staples Center), Tai Babilonia (CBS-TV's "Good Day L.A."),
Kurt Browning, Kristi Yamaguchi and Ekatarina Gordaeeva. In 2004,
Darian skated with the Los Angeles Ice Theatre production of
"Cats"; the production won the International Ice Theater
competition over top countries like Russia and France. Darian's seque
into motion pictures included Lifeline Entertainment's
"Return to
Innocence" directed by Rocky Costanzo. Costanzo, impressed
with Darian's abilities next starred him as he shot the first half of
his film
"11:11".
Darian's numerous short films have won critical acclaim at more than 20
film festivals including Sundance (MTV/Paramount's "Better Luck
Tomorrow" - winner), New York Film Festival ("Little
Ricky" - the only child nominated for a NYFF Best Actor in
2003), the Santa Cruz Film Festival ("Timmy's Wish") and
the 2004 International Film Festival ("Adopting Change").
On television, Darian is probably best-known for playing Will on NBC's
"Days
of Our Lives" through two seasons. He also guest-starred
with Al Pacino on Fox-TV's "Mad TV" and acted in numerous
other TV shows. On stage, Darian has impressed audiences with
performances in "Beethoven's in the House" at the Walt
Disney Concert Hall, the Hollywood Kodak Theatre production of
“Ten Commandments”,
and "Mame" at the Hollywood Bowl. Darian
currently has two new DVDs on store shelves: Talmarc
Productions' "Christmas Miracle at Sage Creek" starring David Carradine, Wes Studi
and Irene Bedard is a drama set in the old West. For the Russian vampire film "Night Watch",
Darian dubbed the English voice for the character Yegor, a young boy
forced to choose whether or not to join the Dark Side. The young
Russian boy whose voice he dubbed bares a striking resemblance to
Darian. Darian's recent television credits include
"Without a Trace"
(Young Artist Award winner), "Numbers",
"Mad Men", and the pilot
"The Meant To Bes". He
also filmed the Hallmark TV movie
"Love's Unfolding Dream".
Darian recently shot the second half of
"11:11" which will also co-star his younger brother
Benjamin. He is currently producing,
co-directing and starring in the internet pilot "Our
Family Spirit". Co-written with his Two Weiss Guys
Productions partner, Darian's
character and his dysfunctional family move in with their eccentric
great aunt and her equally unusual house guests.
